Grateful 365 Day Forty-five

Waxing Moon

While waiting for our 4 kids (plus 2 more girls that are having a sleep over with Emma) to load up in the van after church so we could go home, I made a few shots of the waxing moon. Due to the fact that I was without my tripod, none of the ones I took at the building were as clear as I wanted. I mention this attempt at the church building because a friend, Karin Miller, asked if she would see the picture amongst my “favorites” (referring to my 365 Project) and added her own caption, “I am grateful for the moon, for without it, we wouldn’t have cheese!”

When we arrived at home and finally got the kids in bed I retrieved my tripod from the trunk of my car and made the following shot. This is my first attempt at lunar photography and I am pleased with the way it turned out.  I am sure this will not be the last time I shoot the moon and am thankful for the experience gained.
