Day forty-eight was a photo of the night sky from the Westin Dallas Fort Worth Hotel where I stayed during a conference for work. Day forty-nine is of the same sky from the same place but during sunrise at around 5:15 a.m. Billings, MT is situated in the Yellowstone River valley and is hedged by the Rimrocks on the north and east, rolling hills to the south and the Beartooth Mountains to the west. Being geographically situated means that you don’t often get the opportunity to see a sunrise that begins where the earth and sky seem to meet so I took the opportunity to make this photo.
