Grateful 365 Day Forty-eight

Nightline from Westin Dallas Fort Worth Hotel

I have been away from my site and away from “normal” life for the last week or so.  Things at work have gotten rather hectic and to top it off, I spent three days this week at a conference in Dallas, so I had to get as much done before the conference as I could. All of this is explain my recent lack of posts.  But… while I was there I did make a couple of photos that I are the subject of two Grateful posts.

While I was in Dallas, the temperature hovered around 100° F most of the day until it “cooled off” to a bone-chilling 85° after 11:00 p.m. The conference was hosted at the Westin Dallas Fort Worth Hotel and due to a delay with my original room, I was transferred to the 15th floor where I was able to see the city center far off in the distance. I made this photo by holding my camera very still against the glass during the 15 second exposure.  If you look closely, you can see two airplanes – one flying to the right and another flying in the direction of the airport.

After a day of intense heat in Dallas I was Grateful for the night time city lights.
