“Strangest Squall Line I’ve Ever Seen…”

Strangely Smooth Squall Line

That is what my meteorology-loving wife, Sue, said when I showed her the current radar from YourBigSky.com’s Interactive Radar of a storm that passed through Billings today. At first I thought it was a glitch so I checked the feeds and made sure that there weren’t any issues. After reloading the page and zooming in and out a few times, the shape of the squall line remained the same – as you can see from the screen shot below:

The Squall Line of this Storm was strangely smooth and abrupt.

FYI – A squall line is a line of severe thunderstorms that can form along and/or ahead of a cold front.
