Grateful 365 Day Twenty-nine

Riverfront Park Trail Fun

As you may or may not have noticed, I haven’t posted anything new for the last several days.  This has not been by choice – instead, it has been because I have had some serious site issues that needed to be resolved before I could continue.  In essence, there was a security hole in one of the older installations of WordPress that was still on the server that had to be removed.  Which meant removing all the old files off the server and starting from scratch. I have nearly finished the reinstall so I thought I should get back into the swing of things and add a new post.

Today’s photo is actually one that I took on Saturday with the intention of posting it then, but due to the aforementioned issues, I wasn’t able to.  Our family has gotten to the point where everyone is able to ride bicycles without training wheels and to celebrate we loaded up all the bikes in the trailer and headed to Riverfront Park.  We started out on the paved paths and eventually moved onto the gravel trails when we finally got to a place where we (as a family) couldn’t go any further due to flood waters. At this point we returned to the van and everyone but Connor (my oldest) and I loaded up the bikes and headed home.  Connor and I decided that we needed to return to the spot we had to turn around and see how much further we could get.  As it turns out, we were able to go quite a bit further though the water was quite deep. Eventually the water got to a level that made it impossible for us to continue so we turned around and began the trip home.  The photo was taken at the beginning of one of the longest sections of the submerged trail.
