Grateful 365 Day Twenty-two

Nikon D5000 - My Current Camera

I still have the first camera that I got as a birthday present when I was probably 12 or 13. It is a 35mm Kodak point and shoot that my Mom and I picked out at a store in Miles City and my kids still play with it to this day. Granted, it doesn’t have film in it and all they really do is waste batteries with the flash, but it still works nonetheless.  It was a great camera and I took many hundreds of snap shots with it over the next few years.   Ever since that first Kodak I’ve always had a camera. Through the years I’ve upgraded from that old Kodak point and shoot 35mm, to a Canon AE-1 (and 3 lenses) that my Dad’s friend sold to me, an Olympus digital point and shoot that we purchased when Emma was born, a Nikon P80 a few years ago, and finally to my currently Nikon D5000. I held off buying a DSLR for many years until I finally decided to get my current Nikon a few months before I went to New Zealand in June of 2010.  Ever since then, I am rarely without my DSLR.
