Grateful 365 Day Four

Today’s photo was actually a pretty obvious one – the subjects of which I am sure will be appearing throughout my 365 Project. Of course, the two in the photo are my two sweet and beautiful daughters; Lilly, age 8 and Emma, age 10. They became the subjects of my photo today for a couple reasons: 1. they LOVE being my models and 2. I needed a willing subject. I spent most of the day (at least in terms of time spent thinking about photography) being disappointed that I didn’t get a picture of the duck incident this morning. As a result I was trying too hard to try to think of / find something that would equal the experience. By the time I got home and was able to relax for a second I remembered (again) just how grateful I am to have two wonderful daughters. They both worked super hard in school today and got all of their work done at school then spent the rest of the day playing in their bedroom. I never once heard them fight or complain and if I hadn’t interrupted their play time to stand in the yard for me they would have kept right on playing.

Staying to my self-imposed limitation of 15 minutes or less in post processing allowed me to play around with a simple surface blur in Photoshop CS5 and not much else.

Extraordinary Daughters

My daughters are extraordinary and for that, I am exceptionally grateful.
