Grateful 365 Day Eleven

No Condemnation IN Christ Jesus

After the events of Day 10 and my not having my DSLR I was thankful to be able to get more creative with my photo for today.  The idea for this shot came to me during my drive to work this morning but I had yet to decide upon the specific subject.  While I was putting the kids to bed for the evening I was praying with them and the subject of Romans 8:1 came to mind – specifically in reference to “no condemnation in Christ Jesus” so I decided to use that verse as my subject. This chapter of scripture, Romans 8, is one of the most encouraging in all of the New Testament and one that I frequently refer to in my teaching and preaching.  I am eternally grateful for what God inspired the Apostle Paul to write to the Romans so that we would be able to benefit from it so many hundreds of years later.

After taking the photo, I brought it into Lightroom, desaturated it and increased the black levels.  I added film grain and a vignette before exporting it to Photoshop. Once in Photoshop I selected the portion of the page that I wanted to be in clearest focus, inverted the selection and added lens blur to the rest of the image.  I am very happy with the results and hope that you are as well.

No Condemnation IN Christ Jesus
I am eternally grateful for this passage of Scripture.
